Nowadays, more and more people are turning to online platforms to learn English. But is learning English online better than learning it in a traditional classroom?

One clear advantage of online learning is flexibility. You can study anytime and anywhere, as long as you have internet access. This is especially useful for people who have busy schedules or live far from English schools. Another benefit is the variety of resources available. From videos and quizzes to live chat and apps, there are endless ways to practice your skills online.

However, studying in a classroom also has its strong points. You can interact directly with your teacher and classmates, ask questions, and get immediate feedback. The classroom environment can also help keep you focused and motivated. It may be easier to build discipline when you attend regular classes in person.

To sum up, both methods have their own benefits. If you enjoy self-paced learning and are comfortable using technology, online learning might be the best choice for you. But if you prefer structure and real-life interaction, learning in a classroom could be more effective. Ideally, combining both can give you the best of both worlds.

  1. What is the article about?
  2. What is one reason people choose to learn English online?
  3. According to the article, what is an advantage of classroom learning?
  4. What does the writer suggest at the end of the article?

What a Day to Remember!

Yesterday was absolutely amazing! We had our end-of-term school trip to the adventure park. I had to wake up at 4:30 a.m. because the bus was scheduled to leave from school at five sharp.

Believe it or not, Kevin almost missed it! Classic Kevin. He was sprinting down the road waving his backpack, and luckily, Mrs. Rahma noticed and got the driver to wait just in time. The trip there was a total nightmare though — traffic was horrible due to roadwork, and we ended up arriving super late. By then, the lines for all the good rides were already massive!

But the rides totally made up for it! I tried “Thunder Loop” and “Sky Drop” — both were insane! They went so fast that when I got off, I could hardly walk straight. And oh no — poor Sinta threw up on her shoes after the Sky Drop. So gross!

After lunch, we headed to the splash rides — my personal favorite! We got completely soaked, and then the sky opened up and it started pouring rain. There was a photo taken while we were dropping down the biggest slide — and of course, my face looked ridiculous! Eyes shut, mouth open — full panic mode. And guess what? Dita bought the picture and showed the whole class. Talk about embarrassing! 😂

Still, I got a bunch of great shots too — check these out...

  1. Why did the writer have to wake up so early?
  2. What happened to Kevin before the trip?
  3. Why was the journey to the park delayed?

  8. Kevin nearly missed the bus but was able to catch it just in time.
  9. The writer didn’t enjoy any of the rides at the park.
